What's new and what's been fixed around the tavern, newest first.
Remove a photo without replacing it — plus a mobile editing fix
You can now clear an uploaded image with a small red ✕ button in its top corner — on a session, a game table, or a Wise member profile — instead of having to upload a new one just to get rid of the old one. We also fixed the text editor on phones, which could appear as white text on a white box when editing some pages.
Guests get their place in the crypt
If you drop in as a guest at someone else's table and your character dies, you can now link their Tale of the Fallen to that session. Your fallen guest character will be laid to rest in that table's chamber in the Mausoleum, alongside everyone else who fell there — instead of in a lonely grave of their own.
Spotlighted tales now appear on the Spotlights page
Featured tales now show up on the Spotlights page alongside standout session notes and game night comments, each with a link straight through to read the full story.
A warmer welcome on the homepage
When you're logged out, the homepage now opens with a photo of the club and a big "Come join us!" button that takes you straight to sign-up, so new folks can see friendly faces and jump right in. Organisers can swap the photo and edit the wording whenever they like to keep it current.
We've also made the portraits on the "Meet the Wise" page click-to-enlarge, so you can get a proper look at them.
Meet the Wardens and Stewards
Trusted members can now be given helper roles so more people can help keep the community running. You'll see their titles on profiles — Guild Master, Steward, Warden, and Dungeon Master — so it's clear who to turn to. Wardens help review reported posts and tidy the bulletin board; Stewards take on more of the day-to-day running of the site. Dungeon Masters look after their own tables, and new tables are still set up by request so an organiser can give them the nod.
Meet the Wise
The Wise page now introduces the club's founders and organisers as proper profiles, each with a photo, a role, and a short bio. Organisers can add, edit, reorder, and retire profiles over time, so the page stays current as the team changes.
Community Tales now shows on the homepage
The "Community Tales & Tidings" section on the homepage no longer sits empty. It now shows recent stories from the table by default, and anything the guild spotlights is pinned to the front with a star. Tales of the Fallen stay in the Mausoleum unless a spotlight pins one.
Smoother table sign-ups and RSVPs
A few improvements to tables and game nights:
- If you previously left a table, you can request to rejoin it again (the option had gone missing).
- RSVPing "Coming" to two games on the same night now gives you a friendly heads-up so you can avoid double-booking. You can still go ahead if you meant to.
- At weekly drop-in one-shot tables, guests no longer fill up the table's player count. Each week's session has its own seats, and past guests are tucked away in a collapsible list.
Clearer "Remove" button for drop-in guests
On a game session page, the option to remove a drop-in guest now stands out as an obvious red button, tucked neatly beside each guest's status instead of crowding their name. Long player names now stay fully readable too.
Writing on your phone no longer eats your words
Some of you hit a nasty bug where deleting text on an Android phone would also remove words after the cursor, especially after pasting in a longer note. That is fixed: on phones, session notes, comments and stories now use your phone's own text box, so typing, autocorrect and deleting all behave exactly as they do everywhere else.
You still get formatting on the go: a new toolbar above the box adds bold, italics, headings, lists, quotes and links for you, and an eye button shows exactly how your note will look once posted.
One more repair for the desktop folks: the eye (preview) button in the post editor used to show your writing as plain unformatted text. It now shows your headings, links and lists properly styled.

The full guildhall — tucked away so your tabs stay clear.
