The Guild Ledger

Changelog

What's new and what's been fixed around the tavern, newest first.

A snappier site that respects your privacy

Most actions around the site, like RSVPing, joining a table, adding to your cart or posting a comment, now happen instantly without the page reloading. For privacy, who-is-playing-where details are now only visible to signed-in members, while visitors just see headcounts. Also new: game nights can be cancelled with an optional heads-up to attendees, recurring nights can be extended past their end date, you can reply to comments on stories and see who liked them, and there is a handy Remind Me button to pop an event into your calendar.

Google sign-in sticks, plus a redesigned game-night roster

Signing in with Google now keeps you signed in for up to 30 days instead of logging you out after a day. The game-night roster got a full redesign: attendees are grouped by table with clickable table names, a "Those Who Wander" list for anyone not yet seated, and no more DMs listed twice. Share buttons now appear on library items, bulletin posts, stories, events and shop products. DMs can remove a player from their table when needed, and comment timestamps no longer hide behind long names on mobile.

We are now Cork D&D, and forgotten passwords are no bother

The club site is now called Cork D&D. More importantly, if you forget your password you can reset it yourself via email, and you can change your password any time from your account.

Share links, calendar reminders and quicker RSVPs

You can now share game nights, sessions and tables with a short link, and friends who follow a shared link can join in with a tap. Add events straight to your personal calendar, RSVP directly from the listings without opening each page, and enjoy proper banner images on sessions and game nights. If you RSVP to a table session that is part of a game night, the night counts you in automatically. Avatars now appear beside comments too.

Calendar and mobile fixes

The calendar now shows event times in your local time and gently dims events that have already happened. On mobile, the sidebar no longer flashes open when a page loads. The report-a-bug widget gained a dismiss button, and tables now have their own tags so you can mention a table in posts just like you mention a person.

Choose your display name

You can now edit your display name right on your profile, once per day. Names like O'Brien, Seán and Müller all work, while lookalike and impersonating names are blocked to keep things fair. Google sign-in now also respects your "keep me signed in" choice.

Finishing touches to the last update

Mostly behind-the-scenes work to make the nightly tidy-up of past events and other scheduled chores run more reliably.

Verification tidy-up, plus privacy and terms pages

The email verification prompts are clearer and resending a verification email is more reliable. The site now has proper Privacy and Terms pages, and we retired Sign in with Apple since almost everyone uses Google or a password.

Library editing fixed

Two annoying bugs on the library item edit page are gone: the category and condition dropdowns now show the item's actual values instead of defaults, and the Save Changes button actually saves your changes.

Keeping the tavern safe and tidy

New tools to keep the community healthy: you can report a post or comment that breaks the rules and the admins will review it. Admins can also post site-wide announcement banners for important news. Past sessions and game nights now tidy themselves away automatically each night, and a new info section helps newcomers find out about the club.
